WHEN FAVOUR IS INTRODUCED, FEED THE SPIRIT
WHEN FAVOUR IS INTRODUCED, FEED THE SPIRIT
(DANIEL 1:8-16)
In this study we were made to understand that:
God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of eunuchs, everything needed was provided by the king for them to satisfy the flesh, but daniel understood that he must not defile his body with too many provided from the kings meat and drink, thereby going against the principle of the spirit.
He did not mind the rules of eating to nourish the flesh but rather he embraced the rule of feeding the spirit.
Daniel was able to prove to the prince of Eunuch that it is not what is provisioned out of favour, comfort that nourish man and make his skin fairer and fatter in flesh but more of those things that help you feed the spirit and stay concious of your purpose and duties as God's Elect.
Many of us today find ourself in favour and opportunities that was actually made available to us by the Almighty God, yet we defile our body with gluttony, greed and pride, rather than eating those things that can give us the strength to walk in the spirit. DANIEL drank water and ate pulse, yet his countenance appeared fairer and fatter in flesh.
Therefore it is not what you feed on that nourish you but what you feed the spirit.
We see many children of God snoring in the place of study and prayer, when they are suppose to commune with God in the spirit, to gain all forms of Mastery, but rather what they feed the flesh defile them, distract them and then they make the experiment of doctors play a huge role in their life, as they are diagnosed of disease and sicknesses of all sought.
The word of God said feed the spirit and starve the flesh.
The spiritual controls the physical, but if you allow the physical body and your soul to commune together, you are doomed to fail all spiritual principles.
Prayer:
Our father in heaven help us to feed the spirit more each time we are introduced to favour.
