Created to Anoint the Son of God
There is always a time designed for you to be announced. one quality deed or action you put out there can transform your destiny or make you famous. Some will bribe their way to be recognized, sometimes they exchange slots to get to a particular position.
This very woman in Mark 14:3 did what she was created for, to Anoint the Almighty generously and willingly, without permission from man, opinion from any family member or close relative. She went straight to Jesus with confidence and poured the expensive perfume.
She walked straight to Jesus with her spiritual eyes, and not the physical eyes that seek for man's recognition.
She had the feeling that she might never see Jesus again and so she did what she was created for.
Tell me who do you think told her the type of perfume to offer?
who made her to preserve that perfume until that time?
was that perfume produced by her?
The bible said the perfume is expensive,
meaning, everyone know the brand, some rich fellow wear that perfume to expensive occasion.
At the time Jesus came, he was the carpenters Son, he was poor and can not buy such expensive perfume for his burial.
This woman was made by the living God to carryout that assignment, at that place and time.
Her deed spread abroad, from one generation to another.
Anytime people read mark 14:3, her good deed is analysed.
See, don't let man's opinion restrain you from doing what you were created for. People will say you are doing too much for the kingdom or they may try to stop you from giving to advance the kingdom. I tell you such actions may even limit God's elect from finishing strong, because you choose to restrain your support, knowing fully well that you were given the resources to operate as a steward.
Be a loyal servant of God.
Stay in his presence, there is nothing you do that is enough for God. You can't do much without him.
In Mark 14:4-5.
Some of those present, however, expressed their self righteous anger to one another: Some said
“Why this waste of perfume?
It could have been sold for over three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor.” And they scolded her.
But she did it anyway.
The people in the world will always want what they suggest to happen, they will express their anger, they call your huge sacrificial seed waste, you don't mind them or operate with your physical eye, you operate only with the spiritual command.
what should always matter to you is what yo
u do to fulfill God's will in your life.
At the end your generous deed will spread abroad and be recorded in heaven.
Prayer:
Father in heaven, please give us the courage to do what we are created for according to your will.
