Who is our God

 Today we will look at this title carefully. 

Imagine you visit a friend and a child runs to you and ask you the question, who is our God?

you will pause for a second, and respond based on your level of knowledge. 

If you are one of the ATHEIST fools, who believe that there is no God, you will immediately respond to the young child that there is no God.

If you fall under the category of those known as the POLYTHEISTS, who believe that there is other gods that you can run to when you are in need of a particular thing, your answer to the child will be to mention the name of the other gods you know.

The truth is,

 there is only one God known as the uncreated creator, the only God that created all things, he sustains all things he created and transcends all things.

David in  (1 Chronicles 29:10-12), 

he blessed the lord in the sight of all the assembly.

He publicly acknowledge and declares his attributes and works as follows:

“May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.

11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in heaven and on earth belongs to You.

Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all. 12Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler over all. In Your hands are power and might to exalt and give strength to all.

Parents should be mindful of who answers this question asked by our children. This is why we should ensure that the foundation of our children is built on the knowledge of God.

As adult we decide what we believe based on the knowledge gathered over time. 

If we fall in the category of the ATHEIST believe, we are doomed to fail in life and the category of the POLYTHEISTS is not an option to consider at all.

The question further extends to who then is our God and what makes him special?

God introduced himself in

 Isaiah 45:5.

"I Am the Lord and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me"

some other unique things about God was stated in:

1Chronicles 29:10-12

1 Greatness and power are God's

2. Victory and majesty are God.

3. All that is in heaven and on earth                  

     belongs to him alone.

4. Riches and honour comes from him.

5. He rules over all

6. In his hands are power and might to

    exalt and give strength to all.

7. He is all knowing- Omniscient

8. Our God is a spirit.

9. Our God is all light and glory

10. Our God is love and loves us with 

        an everlasting love.

Therefore every christian must believe and declare boldly that our God is the only God.

Heavenly father, we believe that you are the ruler of all creation, nothing compares to you .
